I keep trying to download apps on my Droid and its saying my phone isn’t “rooted” and idk what that means. Then other apps are saying that in order to have that app you don’t need your phone to be rooted to the Android system. So my question is what is rooted mean and should I do that and how do I do that if I should. Thanks

I have the Christmas money today to get a Kindle Fire, and that’s what I want to do, but I also want to research a little more before I get it. I already know a lot about the iPad. Some questions about the Kindle Fire that I would like to know are- Is the app marketplace good?-How do you buy apps?(is there a card like for the iPad?)-What are the reviews?-

I just rooted my Atrix 2 and was hoping to get free tethering on phone i have downloaded android wifi tether (http://code.google.com/p/android-wifi-tether/downloads/detail?name=wifi_tether_v3_1-beta10.apk&can=2&q=) and downloaded and followed the instructions on this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZi-5MOs7pc) still no luck please help! PS the error message i get is “account not set up for usb tethering”
